Diesel prices buoy

[ 0 ] May 5, 2010 |

Rolling into the summer season and with the Gulf of Mexico oil spill devastating the gulf coast states diesel fuel has reached an 18 month high with an average price in the U.S. of $3.122 per gallon. This is well below the high of $4.76 that was reached in July 2008.

Diesel technology has shown promise for low emission and good fuel efficiency, but when the price for diesel exceeds that of gasoline it makes it hard for consumers to go in such a direction, even though the EU has embraced diesels for years.
