SEMA 2008 Preview: X-Treme Toyz Fahrenheit F-150
Custom truck company, X-Treme Toyz, has built another cool truck this year for the 2008 SEMA Show, this time selecting a 2009 Ford F-150 SuperCrew FX4 as their project vehicle. Named “Fahrenheit F-150″, the pickup truck earned its name by the unique paint job on the trucks exterior. President of X-Treme Toyz, Mike Duval, stated “I intend to create a hot, functional lifestyle truck with universal appeal…The paint scheme will accent the truck’s name, with a glimpse into its molten interior through tears in the black paint. The vehicle … will demonstrate the wide accessory potential of the 2009 F-150″. The truck has been lifted 6 inches in the air with a Fabtech suspension system combined with Dirt Logic shocks. Custom sway bars were also added along with an air-assist overload capacity system.
To handle the dirt and trails, Dick Cepek came forward with their 18×9 inch off-road wheels wrapped with Mickey Thompson 35/13.5R18 Baja MTZ tires. The front end was upgraded with a custom bumper and Warn winch, as well as remote cameras located around the pickup truck for parking assistance. The interior was not left alone either, with Katzkin providing a set of custom leather seat covers, Scosche audio and video system, as well as Ford’s SYNC system which comes from the factory. X-Treme Toyz also wanted to increase the trucks power output, so they added an AFE cat-back exhaust system and cold air intake.
